Head instructors Nacho and David Hernandez started Wake 305 wanting to bring their passion for the extreme sport of wakeboarding to South Florida.  Cuban-American natives of Miami and identical twins (part of triplets), Nacho and David began wakeboarding at the age of 15 in Marine Stadium.  Nearly 15 years later, Wake 305 has emerged as South Florida's leading wakeboard school.

Along with running Wake 305, David competes and works with Miami Ski Nautiques, which is the leading wakeboard shop in South Florida.  David is a Certified Judge who has judged wakeboard competitions in the United States and internationally.   In 2006, David placed 3rd in the Mills Pond Tournament, in 2007 he placed 3rd in Men's Open Pan American Championships, and in 2008 he placed 1st in Men's II Pan American Championships. He is now finishing his Bachelor's Degree in Management at Florida International University.

After wakeboarding for 11 years, Nacho made the transition to wakeskating and began competing in 2004.  While he loves teaching wakeboarding, he is excited about the up and coming sport of wakeskating, where you are not strapped in the board.  Nacho loves teaching and coaching all ages and skill levels and the enjoyment it brings to his clients.  He believes in encouraging his students to reach their maximum potential by pushing them to their limit.  Nacho is currently a state certified EMT, and a trained paramedic.  In addition, he is Basic Life Support/CPR certified.  He will graduate from fire academy this Spring.  Nacho also has certifications in AMLS, ACLS, and PEPP.
